SHOOL'S OUT + Wall-E

Journal Entry: Fri Jul 18, 2008, 2:20 PM
  • Mood: Llama
  • Listening to: Fountains of Wayne - Stacey's Mom
Can someone catch my 22,222nd pageview? Just for jokes? xDD (dragon25313 I am still working on your piccy, don't worry haha!)

So yea, school's out, big whoopity. It's been the most depressing end of school year EVER. 2 of the best teachers (imo plz) have left, and it's not even sunny, despite the fact it's supposed to be summer. Nuooo. It's pouring with rain.

Wall-E was really nice though. "Presto" (the short before the film, as is customary with Pixar) was HILARIOUS, I was actually crying with laughter. That bunny is too awesome, I say. Wall-E's certainly very different from other films Pixar have made; obviously in terms of animation they are excelling, but they're also trying out different styles of film too, which is great to see.

Next on my hit list: Kung Fu Panda and Hancock.

Edit: Woo! I can read guitar tab! Now to tackle some songs I wish to play... maybe in ten years *snigger*

It was playing the Liberty Bell (Monty Python theme!) at one point...strangely appropriate. But poor James really didn't think the paint through...

Jezza's was far too awesome.

Jeremy's was the best imo. It even looked OK before the "restoration", haha.

I just can't believe he kept the writing pink! x__X And all those blue lights... :lmao:

"Crims" was rather amusing. As well as his siren. *snigger*

I would LOVE having police cars like Jeremy's.

Or James with "crims" on it because that's too amusing.

But Richard's car would crack me up every time I saw it (with its "stinger" that's too short *gigglesnort*)

(lol, "Ooh, that'll look good on camara.")

I dunno, every teacher's saying something different. Like Spanish says that he'll raise us up a grade, but if every subject does that, that's 7 extra points lolomgbbq.

Mwahaha, I don't do chemistry. But 17/40 PHYSICS MULTIPLE CHOICE OH YES.

Ahem.

...They ARE only going to give us questions we KNOW how to do, yes? 'Cause half the stuff in these papers off the M drive, we haven't even covered yet.

It's late, and I have yet to revise integration. Excuse me.

*[Insert teacher here] impression*
"You had half term to revise!"

Well senora simons said that she can't predict us more than two above the grades we get. She's likely scaring us though.

='(

Though yesterday I copied my answers and the paper codes for chem multiple choice onto my scrap paper, and today I marked them using the markschemes (they go like: AAABACDF8 etc.). I got either 4/5 wrong out of 31(I changed an answer and didn't write it down, it's likely only 4). Either way, WOOT high grade! xDDDD That's something like 83/87 percent!

:mwahaha:

Heh, I did ALL of those! I started revision early so I used today for the bits of stats I didn't know, general stats when I realised I'm silly with regards to stats, trig identities (so I know them and can apply them using my algebra mad skills. Again, my knowledge is more likely to fail me), and polar forms and demoivreeeees theorem. They're all my friends now, I know formulae and stuff, and polar form and (I can't be arsed to spell it again)'s Theorem are REALLY simple now that I know their methods.

Er HYPER!eometric distribution. But was it in the test?

...*checks*...

OMG It's been like hours and my browser's still open, I was going through the practice tests we were given before the little tests. Damn revision keeps distracting me from my procrastination! =P

Er it probably isn't, and that's just as well because it has some huge formulae that I don't really like at all, I think I remember a Hg~(values) in the test though...

Meh, if it comes up I'll fail.

Actually, the longer questions are more cases of knowing the material, so I focused more on that. I'll lose more marks if I don't know what the question was going on about and miss it entirely than if I do bits of it knowing how to do stuff and figuring it out.

But that's just mean. What about all the work we've been doing in class? Like with English commentaries, maths coursework, etc etc.

I always expect them to only use the exam, though, so that puts me in even more of a panic mode.

NOW logs are <33333333333. Because I've done a truckload of excercises (y'know, those that we were supposed to do months ago haha).

Complex numbers are cool XD I was proving Demoivere's theorem by induction the other day. Just for jokes. (Not really... I got scared when I saw the question and wouldn't leave my brother alone until he told me what "proof by induction" was XD)

What - there's a disribution beginning with h? *panicflail* Isn't there just binomial, poisson and normal? I have good revision notes on stats, so I'm not toooo worried.

Now. *continues rabid poster-making*

logs <3333333333

I'm not currently a fan of polar forms of z, demoivre's theorem, that distribution beginning with h, and the stats equations since they always go in one side of my brain and out of the other.

Revision irritates me. I've done the practice before, before tests, and I know I can apply stuff, but it's my knowledge that lets me down. I sometimes just forget entire chunks of knowledge, or the important stuff, like formulae.

Meh, looking on the bright side, this means that I don't have to do many exercises (though I will), it's just theory revision now.

xD Okay so April was a long time ago but I can still go "AAAAAH! you found me!" Deviantart didn't tell me you dropped by, so I'll blame the notifications. =)

It can be like delayed surprise. OOH! Like a Slowpoke in Pokémon.

This isn't really going anywhere. I'll add you.
